The first is the fabric. It's ribbed corduroy — proper cord, with ridges running the length of the body rather than a flat pile. Dogs notice texture far more than they notice colour, and a ridged surface gives teeth and tongue something to catch on rather than sliding off. DuraToy use cord across a good part of this range, and it's the reason these toys feel different in the hand to the usual soft-toy fabric.

How it is put together

The second is how the ropes are built in. They aren't stitched-on limbs. Two ropes run right through the body on the diagonal and come out at opposite corners, so you get four knotted, tasselled ends — and pulling one end draws the opposite one in. That lets you set how much rope there is to grab, and it means a tug pulls against rope running through the toy rather than against a seam.
At 194g it's the heaviest thing in this range. That weight earns its keep: the toy stays put when a dog braces a paw on it instead of skating off across the kitchen floor. There's a squeaker in the body for the quieter moments.
You'll find a small K9 Tuff Guard patch stitched to the belly. That's the maker's own marking and we'll leave it at that — what we can tell you is what this is: a soft corduroy toy with rope through it and a squeak inside, for supervised play.
