Identi-Pet makes one thing and makes it simply: a way to tell every puppy or kitten in a litter apart from the day they are born.
The Identi-Pet 12 Whelping Collars for Puppies and Kittens are twelve soft hook-and-loop collars in twelve vibrant colours. Assign one to each newborn and you can track weight and progress, avoid mix-ups and know which pups have found a new home. Comfort comes first: the soft fabric fastens back on itself, so there is no buckle or clip to irritate delicate skin or catch on bedding. Each collar is 35cm, which suits most breeds, and can be cut to size with a curved end to avoid scratching, then adjusted as the litter grows.
They are washable and reusable: cool machine wash or hand wash with minimum detergent, no bleach or fabric conditioner. Many breeders buy two packs, one in use and one in the wash, and keep them for litter after litter. Fit them snug but not tight, and check the fit regularly, because pups grow quickly.
