Some dogs need more than a soft bed — older joints, larger breeds and dogs recovering from injury benefit from genuine support. The Jenny Wren Luxury Dog Mattress was developed with local veterinary practices for exactly this: a deep upholstery foam base provides firm, even support, while a generous 100% British wool topper adds a comforting, cushioning layer on top.
Real British wool brings properties no synthetic can match. It's naturally odour-repellent, making it ideal for dogs with allergies or sensitive skin; it regulates temperature, keeping your dog warm in winter and cool in summer; and it wicks moisture away from the body for a dry, comfortable sleep. The base cover is durable twill in sand or grey, the wool topper comes in charcoal or natural, and the entire cover unzips and machine washes on a gentle wool cycle at 30°C. Three sizes.

Jenny Wren is the wool and mattress brand from Vetfleece, created from a passion for quality, comfort and the remarkable natural properties of wool. Having worked with wool in pressure care products for people, we saw a chance to bring the same care, support and craftsmanship to dog bedding, in 100% wool and wool-blend options.
The brand began with our first family dog, Mo, a playful Boxer. We had worked with and sold Vetfleece for years, but we wanted to make Mo a truly luxurious bed from carefully sourced materials. With 100% British wool already in stock, the first Jenny Wren dog bed was made, and the range grew from there.
Today the range includes the Luxury Dog Mattress, with a 100% British wool topper over a deep foam base, developed with local veterinary practices; the Pure Wool Dog Roll Mat for the car, the sofa and nights away; the Wool Crate Pad and water-resistant Cage Pad for crates; the Luxury Square Washable Dog Bed and Luxury Oval Fleece Lined Dog Bed for dogs that like to nest; the waterproof, chew-resistant Pet Mattress for kennels, crates and working dogs; and a lightweight Retractable Dog Lead in 5m and 8m lengths.
We work with local manufacturers and make our beds here in Yorkshire, which lets us keep a close eye on quality. Every product is designed with pet wellbeing, comfort, sustainability and ethical sourcing at its heart, for owners who want their dogs to rest well.

How to measure
To size a bed, measure your dog from nose to base of tail while they're lying stretched out, then add roughly 15–20cm so they can sprawl comfortably. If your dog likes to curl up, you can size closer; if they stretch right out, size up. A flat mattress suits dogs who like to stretch out, so allow plenty of length.
For recovery
If your dog is recuperating, choose a size that lets them lie fully flat and supported.
