Mutt and Bailey: microfibre drying for dogs who come home wet
Mutt and Bailey grew out of family walks on the Yorkshire coast, where wet paws, sandy coats and damp car seats are simply part of the routine. After years of piling old towels on soggy spaniels, we set out to make drying a dog easier, drawing on the family's background in textiles and tailoring to get both the fabric and the fit right.
The Dog Drying Coat is a wearable 560gsm double-layer microfibre robe with an adjustable tummy fastening, a long collar that lifts over the ears, a hanging loop and a storage bag. It comes in six sizes from XS to XL, including a Medium/Large for in-between dogs, and four colours, and it washes at 40°C. The Noodle Drying Glove slips onto your hand for paws, legs and belly, while the 79 x 36cm Noodle Drying Towel has built-in hand pouches and covers a muddy coat in one go. Both use thick microfibre noodles that part the fur to reach the water a flat towel misses, and both suit cats and other pets as well as dogs.
